God bless this hero angel and his family we know you will always be in heaven helping🙏🔥🚒😇
I like to ask if Engine 169 got a call towards the end of the ceremony, or was their leaving the station part of it?
This was his final call, to Heaven! Captain Henry H. Flores, was my Brother In Law
@@RichardVaughn-zb6px Thank you for the reply, and I’m very sorry for your loss.
@@RichardVaughn-zb6px Henry was married to my cousin Amy. He was a great man and is going to be missed immensely.
Henry was my cousin. What an amazing person
Thank you Chaplain. Praying that the words you shared will encourage others to draw close to Jesus!
RIP🙏🏻
Just breathe and you'll be alright
The only thing I did to train was get a 2 week trial membership to LA fitness. I did the stair master & held 2 30 lb weights/10 mins a day for 2 weeks straight. The stair master is the hardest part.. meant to wear you out early
💪💪
I just came here to comment on your confined space rescue video.... Other then the fact that a rescue team should have been standing by for him to enter the space and the atmosphere should have been monitored prior to and during entry. Your snails pace was painful to watch. Also the guy fell out inside of a confined space so it shouldn't have even been a question. I'm sure in any real situation you would have known that because you would have been told in the emergency call. The only question you should have had is where is he and we'll your guy asks that he should already have a 5x or similar device in his hand and getting it into the hole we'll your entrant is gearing up. The tripod should have been up on no time flat. That is why so many people die in confined spaces and why a good number of them are firefighters. Hard to watch that demo. My job is confined space rescue and high angle rescue. I take it very serious and hope you see this comment. I'm not trying to dog on you but for real that was a really bad demo.

This man's voice is the same voice used at Disneyland's parking lot tram ride that takes you to the entrance , makes sense ,, this Cpat also takes place in the O.C.
Well, so much for the officer being able to stand up and look over the windshield. Same goes for the backstep crew.
The narrator is incredible. Beginning with the likes of "Adam-12" and "Emergency!" I developed an extreme fascination with the origin and development of the LACoFD. Thanks solely to this gentleman my interest is now satisfied...
Recently purchased a used copy of "Ride the Devil Wind, authored by the narrator.
Man this guy sucks. He failed every event! ;)
I expected a timed run during this. This is easier than expected, it actually looks fun.
Is this a national test? North America? I m in Ontario Canada just wondering if it is the same? Thanks, Andy
Takin my test on the 11th. Only thing I'm concerned about is getting stuck in that maze.
John Martin How did your CPAT go? Did you do Otay in the maze since that was your concern? Write back I would like to know. Future Firefighter here 👩🏼🚒
Anyone know what level on the stair master the first part is on? Or flight of stairs per minute on the machine ?
David Pham 60 steps per minute
I guess It depends which machine you have at your gym. The one at mine does resistance 7 for 60 steps per minute. I usually just do 20 secs at level 6 then 3 minutes at level 7!
Disasterpieced thank you . I was thinking of training at level 5 , but I will up it to 7
David Pham Level 7
Passed with a minute 35sec left!
Pass is a pass bro!! Good shit!!! Lol
Icantchangemynamefor90days - Welp you passed. Good job!
You in the academy?
nick p nope lol
Hello don’t mean to bother, but what are you up to now? are you a firefighter? if so at what age did you become one
The stair stepper is overrated.. the dummy carry gets your legs burning
This is what happens when the chief union monopolizes the agility test. 150 bucks every year for this thing when the biddle is a WAY better test of fitness and only costs 20 bucks.
GREAT VIDEO! The CPAT can definitely be a little overwhelming at first if you don't understand the test as a whole and more specifically if you don't understand your strength and weaknesses of each event. I recommend anyone who is preparing to take the CPAT first watch a well instructed CPAT instructional video, then go out and train in the specific skills the test has to offer (i.e. the stair climb, forcible entry prop, etc.) All in all, the CPAT is very doable. Just be sure to train prior to the test and continue your training even after the test because the CPAT is the minimum physical requirement to become a firefighter. Once you progress on in the firefighter recruitment process and are fortunate to be offered a firefighter position, the real physical test of the fire academy comes and it will continue throughout your career. (Note: There are some fire departments out there that are adopting a 3rd and 4th round to the firefighter hiring process where you'll undergo a "Pre-Academy." The pre academy is like a combine where your respected fire department will put you through several events such as: - firefighter skills - speed, strength, and condition testing - Group projects - and more The pre academy is designed to test your physical ability, your teamwork and communication skills, and your ability to handle adversity). Be ready for anything and everything when it comes to the firefighter recruitment process. You never want to mess up or miss an opportunity. GET YOUR MIND RIGHT, AND GO GET YOUR DREAM GOOD LUCK FUTURE FIREFIGHTERS!
I took the test friday didn't past the stairs part.....70 pounds is not joke.
Michael, did you ever take the CPAT again?
No ...going to try the seattle police now.
@@sourspitz8171 Wow man good for you, glad to hear you have the drive to serve others. Good luck in your pursuit! =)
@@sourspitz8171 this test looks very difficult
Michael San Nicolas lol
Lol... I had zero problems woth mine... But then again Im use to the Darby Queen and Nasty Nick
Cake!
We got to wear shorts with ours so that makes a difference
What a great feeling for them. I remember mine 58 years ago
Wow this looks very tough, I know the stair master is very hard. Just doing a normal workout after a minute on it, is very tough. Although know I know who's training for the Cpat at my local gym.

This test, for the most part, is very easy. The only thing you need to train for is the treadmill test w/ weighted vest. After the treadmill test, the remainder of the course is mostly upper body endurance. Cheers
Love the Comment "Old Dog's New Trick's" :)
Love this team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Dad is a part of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
